TRAINING
Standard Poodles Australia prioritise providing the highest quality training for our puppies before going to their new homes.
We raise our litters using the Puppy Culture program — a science-based, week-by-week developmental curriculum that guides us from birth to 12 weeks.
Through this program, our puppies are gently introduced to Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), sound desensitisation, problem-solving games, and confidence-building exercises. DISCLAIMER: We do not engage puppies in these protocols if any puppy is distressed or it isn’t in the best interest of the puppy at that point in time.
We also lay the foundation for crate training, toilet training, leash training and polite behaviour, giving each pup the best possible start for a smooth transition into family life.
Puppy Culture is more than a program — it’s a philosophy of intentional, ethical puppy raising. It supports each stage of your puppy’s mental and emotional growth. By the time our pups go home, they’ve been exposed to new environments, problem-solving challenges, respectful handling, age-appropriate socialisation, and much more.
The result? Puppies who are well-prepared for grooming, vet visits, and life with their new families — calm, confident, and connected.
The program includes:
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
Visits to Pre Schools and Aged Care Facilities
Startle recovery and sound desensitisation
Crate, Grooming, leash and potty training foundations
Problem-solving and enrichment activities
Manding (teaching puppies to offer polite behaviour rather than jumping or barking)
Confidence-building and emotional resilience exercises
Guided exposure to novelty, surfaces, people, environments, and mild stressors
