OUR PUPPY PLACEMENT PROCESS
We take great care in selecting homes for our puppies and matching each puppy with the family we believe will suit them best. Here’s how our process works.
REGISTER YOUR INTEREST
Complete our Puppy Enquiry Form so we can learn a little about you, including:
- Where you live
- Your household and lifestyle
- What you are looking for in a Standard Poodle
- Any particular preferences or timing considerations you may have
- Anything else you feel would help us understand what you’re looking for
Where you live is important, as the process can differ for local, interstate and international families.
First-time dog owners are very welcome to enquire.
JOIN OUR WAITING LIST
Immediately after submitting your Puppy Enquiry Form, you will be invited to join our waiting list.
If you are genuinely hoping to welcome a Standard Poodles Australia puppy into your family, we strongly recommend joining.
There is no deposit or commitment required at this stage. Because we breed only a limited number of litters each year, being on our waiting list gives you the best opportunity to be considered for one of our puppies.
Our puppies are not offered on a simple first-come, first-served basis.
WE REVIEW & REPLY
We personally review every Puppy Enquiry Form and reply to every enquiry.
We’ll answer any questions you may have and, if needed, ask a few of our own so we have a clear understanding of what you are looking for.
ONCE WE HAVE A CONFIRMED LITTER
Once we have a confirmed litter on the way, we return to our waiting list and begin contacting families we believe may be a suitable match for that particular litter.
As we breed only a limited number of litters each year, there may be a considerable waiting period depending on our breeding plans and the timing of future litters.
PUPPY OFFER & WELCOME CALL
If we would like to offer you the opportunity to welcome one of our puppies into your family, we’ll contact you personally and arrange a welcome call.
This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other better, discuss the litter, answer any further questions and explain what happens next.
The welcome call forms part of the puppy-offer process rather than the initial enquiry process.
MATCHING YOUR PUPPY
As our puppies grow, we spend a great deal of time observing their individual temperament, confidence, energy level, resilience and personality.
Each puppy also undergoes an independent temperament assessment, giving us another valuable perspective when considering the most suitable home for them.
We’re always happy to know if you have preferences, including sex or colour, and we’ll take those into consideration where possible. However, our priority is always finding the right match between each puppy and their future family.
We believe a successful placement is about much more than choosing a puppy based on appearance — it is about finding the puppy whose individual nature is best suited to the home and life waiting for them.
INTERSTATE & INTERNATIONAL FAMILIES
We welcome enquiries from families throughout Australia and internationally.
If you are offered one of our puppies, we can discuss collection, domestic transport or international export arrangements with you personally and guide you through the options available.
We do not need all of the detailed transport, booking and payment information that is currently on the page. Those details can be discussed directly with families once they have been offered a puppy.

We regularly share our puppies’ training, enrichment, feeding, grooming, socialisation and everyday development through our website and social media.
